About Me

Working With Me

Making the choice to begin counselling can be a big step, one that has a huge potential to help you make the changes you’ve been hoping for. If you choose to do this with me, you’ll get a therapist who is down-to-earth, calm and non-judgmental.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed recently? Completely at a loss of what to do next? Struggling to recognise who you are anymore? I can help you take that breath, to pause, to slow things down and figure it out.

I am an Integrative/Person-Centred/Kink-Friendly Therapist. What does this mean for you? You will feel listened to and seen by me. I will be able to help you explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours around any situation that is on your mind right now or things from your past that are still niggling at you.

My aim for our work together, is for you to feel like yourself.

My Background

I have always been interested in mental health and when I studied Psychology as an Undergrad in Ulster University, I got the opportunity to work with a suicide prevention charity for a year. While working there, I was involved in Therapeutic Groups and one-to-one sessions. This fuelled my focus to become a Counsellor as I saw first hand just how important and impactful therapy can be. This led me to become a Listener with the Samaritans for a while, answering the phone, text or the door to those who were at times in crisis or feeling lonely.

In 2019, I then began working in Mental Health Supported Living schemes in Northern Ireland. I supported adults who are living with long term mental illnesses. Being in this position shaped how I work and understand what it truly means to live with a mental illness diagnosis. I pride myself on being able to provide a reliable, consistent and thoughtful space to those who need it.

As a Therapist, I have worked with individuals across the UK and Ireland, helping adults through a variety of issues, such as anxiety, anger, grief and self-confidence. My work has been both short and long term, with the focus being on clients working towards feeling like themselves again.
